Some problems can be dealt with over the telephone. All the doctors are happy to speak to patients on the telephone about certain problems. The reception staff may advise you that your problem is suitable for a telephone consultation or you may prefer yourself to speak to the doctor rather than attend the surgery.
Examples of suitable problems might be discussing abnormal test results or following up a problem that you have already seen the doctor or nurse about. The receptionist will take your telephone number or mobile number and a brief outline of the problem. The doctor will return your call before, during or after that surgery (morning or afternoon). If the surgery is very busy or delayed because of medical emergencies, your call could be returned late that morning or afternoon, and we ask for your patience if this happens.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
